Hi, I am Christine Joy B. Blanco, a graduate of Bachelor of Performing Arts Major in Theatre from Guang Ming College. Guang Ming College is the fith (5th) member of Fo Guang Shan International University Consortium in Taiwan. I have minimal experience when it comes to ESL teaching, but I was able to teach young learners through tutoring in our community and also I have experienced teaching beginner up to advanced students at Clairvoyance Academy where I was a scholar/trainee before for Teaching ESL.

I am willing to commit to this job position because I have knowledge when it comes to technicalities and also I have learned basic mandarin during college. In theatre, we do acting, writing, singing, dancing, most of the time in English. Aside from that I am also into costume and stage design. I have a great passion and high regards towards art that I believe I can use and has a great help in teaching English. I believe that when you incorporate arts in teaching English, you as a teacher will give the students a fun learning environment. Also it would be an easy access for them to learn English in an enjoyable manner. Furthermore, I firmly believe that when we teach English, especially to beginners, we must be capable of using not just our verbal or vocal communication, but we must be capable of teaching using our bodily gestures and facial expressions.

I also believe that being a graduate of theatre arts in an international school has an edge because we know how to handle, understand and empathize with other people, same as with the characters that we are portraying during our performances, also I have experiences in meeting other people with different nationalities.
I am friendly and enthusiastic, versatile and creative. For me, that will be very significant in Teaching English as a second Language.
I hope that with these skills and capabilities that I possess, I am qualified for this job.
